    IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E-S2 dropping connectivity

it is used for LPR - day or night. it will work fine for 1-3 days or so and then for no reason will change to "no signal" in BI and will stay that way until I Disable/Enable the cam. The POE switch has plenty of capacity left, and like I said, even if I switch the 2 cams ethernet cables...

    IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E-S2 dropping connectivity

Bit of a strange problem. I have 2 IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E-S2 cameras. 1 drops signal in Blueiris (but shows video when connecting to the cam directly) - the other never drops signal. BOTH cams are set up exactly the same way, same bios, firmware, same system, same settings, same everything. (other...

CodeProject.ai with License Plate Reader module - HowTo?

So far, so good, have been checking every day and every night... without fail, the settings have auto-set exactly correctly on both cameras both in day and night. Looks like maybe they officially got that fixed :)

Nighttime Front vs. Rear Plates- Should I expect better?

Nice! Sounds like you are definitely on the right track. And I completely agree with your assessment to "not trust OCR" - It's definitely NOT a perfect science. What I do like about using LPR is that it "alerts" on the pates and even though the OCR may read it wrong, it makes it MUCH faster to...

Nighttime Front vs. Rear Plates- Should I expect better?

Absolutely :) That's the only reason that I posted my settings, along with setup (cam to road) diagram... it sounded to me like we had similar situation/set up - other than it sounds like is traffic moves a bit faster. I will add 1 general note too... I thought that having a nearly straight on...

Nighttime Front vs. Rear Plates- Should I expect better?

I'm sure that you've already done this... but for me the MOST HELPFUL thing for tweaking my cam settings in was to have my wife go in her jeep to my main focal point and just sit there in the jeep so I could tone it in... if someone came and she needed to move then she moved and would go back to...

Day #2, BOTH cam settings auto-returned to correct daytime focus on their own.

CodeProject.ai with License Plate Reader module - HowTo?

It definitely wasnt the schedule changing. I disabled it when it didnt work an hour ago. (An hour befor the cam auto switched to night) I'm going to watch it over the next few days/nights switches to verify.

CodeProject.ai with License Plate Reader module - HowTo?

Interesting update... both of my cams just auto-switched to night b&w - and BOTH of them auto-set to the correct 1370 and 1487 (what they were set at last night. This morning, both cameras auto switched to 1356 and 1475 - I get that I could have "just gotten lucky" when they auto switched to...

Nighttime Front vs. Rear Plates- Should I expect better?

@Swampledge I am using the newer IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E-S2 at about 200 feet or so, just the cams, no extra ir illuminator and here's what I'm getting in what sounds like a similar angle to you, though mine may be a little more straight on as mine are literally on my mailbox... but I would say "yes"...

What commands are you using on the new GUI?

The API doesn't appear to be the same (I'm assuming this because it didn't work when I went through the instructions and tried to induce)... so now I'm on the hunt for the right commands.
