Just a quick update on my NVR that was cross flashed to Dahua. In the IMOU app it showed new firmware was available and it let me update the NVR to the new v4.0 (4.000.0000001.4.R.191129) directly from the app. This makes updating to the latest OEM FW even easier!
Yes, I have the RCA logo on mine, but everything else is working great. My dahua NVRs are recording stream and the IMOU app receives the motion alerts. I hope we can find an easy way to turn off the logo. Having EZVIZ on the faceplate but RCA on the screen seems especially annoying.
I used iVMS-4200 and did not change a single setting. I just flashed the LaView FW and when it rebooted, it had the RCA logo. Why does the LaView firmware have the RCA logo? What do you think the best way to get rid of the logo? Should I try the LTS FW instead? Thanks for the help.
I too bought the EZVIZ version and uploaded the LaView FW posted from the 101. Using the LaView FW resulted in the RCA logo always on. I am leaving it in for now especially since it might get bricked when trying to reflash. Any idea why flashing the LaView FW results in the RCA logo?
I used the method describe in the following thread: Dahua IPC EASY unbricking / recovery over TFTP
Only hardware used was a laptop for TFTP, a standard cat5 Ethernet cable and power supplies for cameras and nvr.
The firmware I flashed was not found in the unbricking thread. I downloaded the latest firmware for both the cameras and NVR straight from Dahua website.
I am not at home at the moment to see which FW version I used, but it was just what I downloaded directly from dahua. I looked up the fw...
Update: The NVR5216 from Andy is on the way so I decided to flash my Lechange NVR to dahua firmware last night. It workEd using the “easy unbricking” method, but you have to follow page 12 and 13 in that thread. Those 2 pages have specific information on flashing NVRs. I did not have to...
I just wanted to add that thanks to this thread and the "easy unbricking" thread, I was able to flash Dahua firmware to my Lechange cameras. I will probably try to flash my 8ch Lechange NVR once my "pro" 16ch NVR arrives from Andy.
I for one am finding your post very useful. I am still debating on the lorex system you have or the qsee system that has the better NVR. I wonder how similar the interfaces are considering they are both Dahua.
