As Wildcat said, you can use the onboard lighting. I think one of his videos show this.
Should be the same power usage as using infrared.
I do not use the onboard lighting or infrared on all my cams.
I use led floodlights on dusk to dawn fixtures, as close to the cam as possible and
lighting...
I just replaced 2 5442's for the 4kt's.
Field of view is about the same @ 3.6mm
Max bitrate is 16384 Kb/s
Sharpness needs to be turned down, just like the 5442. Mine is at 20

I have to say this is a huge upgrade from the 5442, both for daytime and night.
I use a ceramic coating every time I clean my lenses and I don't clean it that often. Makes it super slick, like rain-x.
