Okay, my friend tried to take pictures of the fan inside the DVR....does this help to isolate which one I need to buy?

The first step I took to diagnosis the overheating was to check the fan. The blades weren't spinning. Tried to manually move the blades noted that they don't seem to move freely....in fact, one of the blades broke off. This was all during a whirlwind trip across country to deal with the...

Wow! You guys are waaaaaay smarter than me or my friend....polarity, connectors, pins, soder and shrink tubing. YIKES!!! I was just hoping for a plug and play scenario!! Mat, the Lorex folks I was emailing with is the technical group but I'm struggling to pull any info out of them on this fan.

Unfortunately I can't do that. I'm on the east coast and the DVR (mom) is on the West Coast. I was there for my dads funeral when I tried to get the system operating. Didn't think it would be so difficult to just get the part number of the fan from Lorex but they don't seem eager to...
