One of my 5241s that is set up for license plate capture happened to record a murder. It was a tragic and utterly senseless shooting but the video helped identify and locate the shooter and he is behind bars now. It's a bit graphic so I won't share the video directly but here is the news clip...
I don't know about that specific model but I have used unifi US-24-250W with unifi cameras and with dahua cameras and it works well. Ubitquiti switches are solid. You shouldn't have any issues.

Thank you. For clarity, I'm not so sure I am successful just yet. The program you guys helped me launch has be a success. I am just now trying to make a commercial endeavor of it. Fingers crossed. I may need to loiter around in a business forum for a while now.
That's great! Do you know if the police were able to get anywhere with the plate numbers? That's an issue I face with non-violent property crimes. The evidence gets submitted into the abyss because they don't have the resources to pursue low level crimes. I would be curious to know if you got...
Hey there,

That is an interesting fact radunre. I looked at the three NVRs I am having trouble with after reading your post and all of them have serial numbers starting with 6 AND those three are the only NVRs I have that start with 6. I have a total of 11 NVRs connected to SmartPSS. The rest are 5s and...
Same issue for me. I have several NVRs and access them remotely via p2p using GDMSS and SmartPSS. One NVR will not connect in SmartPss but has no problem in the mobile app (GDMSS). Same SN same login credentials. ???
I am having this same problem. I can connect to the NVR remotely via p2p using gdmss no problem but smartpss says offline. very frustrating. Does anyone know why the mobile app would be able to connect but not the desktop client? Same SN, same credentials. Please help...
I hope I didnt come across as being impatient. I didn't know anything about a chip shortage but, global pandemic is already a sufficient reason to delay shipping a few days in my mind.
LOL. I had the same thought. Opened the thread because I needed to understand the ipcam-virus nexus. I figured it was either a Biological virus to computer virus transmutation or more likely sneezed on cameras from China.
The over-seas sneeze theory actually seemed plausible. I ordered some...
