Thanks for that - in all the threads I've read here I can't recall any of them explaining that the config tool isn't necessary for this. I'll give it a shot on my next camera.

Is there any way to do the "initialize" without the config tool? I never tried to use a browser for this.

Has anyone else gotten this while attempting to do the initial logon after doing a factory reset? And how did you get past it? I've disabled my firewall and used many different browsers but nothing I do will let this app fill in the default password, whatever Foscam may have changed it too...
