Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

The camerasystem technician said that there is no other way than forwarding the ports in order to be able to see the cameras via the internet (with 4G or on another WiFi). I wisely didn't start a discussion on VPN. Nobody (except my wife ;)) knows my password. I'm the only superuser on the...

Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

Today the camera techician was back. He supposed that Telenet had reset the modem. We openend the designated ports via the Telenet website and restarted. Everything works again. The NVR is secured with a strong pasword. A good hacker can enter anyway, I study to install a VPN.

Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

Yes, I understand the dangers and I'm not amused at all with 1) the attitude of Telenet "Do it yourself" and 2) the security firm who stalls the intervention and tries to hide behind "standard procedures". Even: ""But, you cannot go yourself into your NVR" you don't have the permission. Eh...

Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

It's a stupid follow-up story.:) The security firm tells me that Telenet has to adapt the 'ports' again. Telenet says that I can do it myself. The security firm contacted: it is not necessary to come from (far away) and the technician asks me for a Team View link but then he notes that he...

Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

Today, I had to paint outside, until a rain shower drove me inside, tomorrow I continue. The VPN Primer studies have to wait, but I'm curious. The firm couldn't explain, they will make an appointment to control and to reset the NVR. Meanwhile, I disconnected the NVR from the net, as you...

Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

Some background? I saw IT growing the last 50 years, started with it as a generalist user in 1973. I worked with mainframes and punch cards, slave stations, later on PS2, Apple Macintosh, etc. etc. till the iPad and SSD PC's. It was too much to follow and learn everything. In 2015 on my 67 y., I...

Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

The access point doesn't function anymore. I took it out. The PC is plugged into the modem /router with an ethernet cable, the NVR also, just next to it. Other info. I've set as IPv4 address of the NVR my external IP address (again), in order to be able to log into the Hikvision website (...

Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

If the E link were defective, the leds would not blink on both ends. So there is a software problem.

Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

Yes CC, I'm back. On Sunday, the family goes first then the "machines" :) Check of the ethernet cables: OK. The green LEDs (NVR & PC are blinking) on the Wireless modem/router. The TRx/Rx led on the NVR front panel blinks also green. The NVR address has now a new 192.168.0.111 and the Desktop...

Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

Aside the "dynamic" items I see 7 "static" types, with 224.0.0 and 239.255. IP addresses. It's almost 22:00 and Saturday. I'll stop for today. I thank you sincerely for the help you gave me.

Something wrong with the hardware? Buy a new NVR? So yes, which one, because this type I don't take anymore.

Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

The Telenet man said 'it was better'"to have an new accespoint'", pff, what a mistake! I don't even need it. I tried "arp -a" : the MAC address of the NVR (C4:2F:90 etc. ) doesn't figure in the list. In the iVMS I've +add the device with the .200 IPv4, I receive the error HCNetSDK.dll[7]...

Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

Yes, my PC looped through this new (!) accesspoint. I took it out. My PC IP address is now 192.168.0.216 I pinged 192.168.0.200 (as nos on the NVR) : still host unreachable. Anyway the configuration is simplier.

Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

The modem is a 24*8 DOC3 Wireless(DOCSIS) with Eurodocsis 3.0. I have also a Telenet an "accesspoint" downstairs. I opened the 'linked apparatus list" on the Telenet website, the MAC address of the NVR is not there, before the intevention it was there (That's why I have the MAC address)

Router-modem doesn't recognise our NVR anymore

pinged .200 "host unreachable" Maybe I didn't save it well? I entered the ip addresses and "enter", is there some other way to save the whole page?
