    Can the Dahua cams be used standalone or do I need an NVR?

    I have found two linux bases NVR software's, Zone Minder(seems a little outdated) and Xeoma. Anyone have any experience with any of these? I have a linux server and wish to use it

    Hi I'm interested in recording on motion and alert when motion occur. Example send mail with a picture of motion and also save video of that on the memory card. But maybe best to get an NVR... Any good NVR software for Linux?
