How to view Dahua and Lorex NVRs from a single app?

Maybe I am overthinking it but I check my cameras many times a day (maybe 5-10 times throughout the day) and those extra 5 seconds every time just sounds like it would get annoying. But maybe I would get used to it quickly…

How to view Dahua and Lorex NVRs from a single app?

Yep - already did! Works great. So buying new DVRs is one option but would cost a few hundred dollars each.

How to view Dahua and Lorex NVRs from a single app?

Thanks for the advice! I was able to connect via the IP address, but I had to do port forwarding to get it to work, which I understand is a bad idea. The only way around that is to use a VPN? Then I would have to connect to VPN every time I want to check my cameras? Starting to think it might...

How to view Dahua and Lorex NVRs from a single app?

I have a bit of a frustrating situation. I have two Lorex NVRs and one Dahua NVR. I can view the Lorex cams through the Lorex Cloud app and the Dahua cams through DMSS. But I really want to be able to view all of them from a single app. I am sure it’s possible since Lorex is just a rebranded...

First install - a few questions (SD card, remote viewing, etc)

Yes, I did the install this weekend and after many hours of trying various things, that's what I ended up doing. I found a thread on here that was very helpful, it explained to hook up a laptop to the NVR and then can access each camera via its IP. I did that and it worked. Now I just need to...

First install - a few questions (SD card, remote viewing, etc)

Finally got all of the cameras for my setup and am preparing to do the install this weekend, but have a few questions after doing some bench testing yesterday: - I put an SD card into one of the cameras, but can't seem to figure out how to get into settings to format it. It is hooked up to my...

First post - advice for specific cameras for commercial building?

For reference, here is a photo showing how some of the current old cameras are installed. What would be the easiest way to mount the new bullet / turret style cameras and make them waterproof?

First post - advice for specific cameras for commercial building?

Thanks for all of the helpful info! One more question - if the cameras are going to be outside and subjected to moisture fairly often (water spray sometimes), are the bullet / turret style cameras still good? With the junction boxes, will they make a waterproof seal? Any tips? Thanks again!

First post - advice for specific cameras for commercial building?

Ah, makes perfect sense now. Thank you! One more question - since I need to get one more camera for the exterior, it might make sense to get something different to view the front of the lot. It would be great to capture license plates but I know that is more difficult. What is a good camera for...

First post - advice for specific cameras for commercial building?

That looks like a great option - thank you! Pardon the dumb question, but with a varifocal lens, will I be able to zoom in and out remotely, or is it just to adjust it once after mounting it?

First post - advice for specific cameras for commercial building?

Just joined the forum - so much great information here - thanks to all of the helpful members!! I have a small commercial property with cameras that are 5+ years old that I will be upgrading. I recently purchased this 6 camera 4K kit with NVR from Costco after seeing a recommendation here: IP...
