[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

They said it works on Windows but I haven't gotten it to work yet using the ubuntu 18.04 or 20.04 Windows App. However, installing it on a separate Ubuntu box DOES work!: GPU MODE=High GPU MODE=Low This is nice to have working on the GPU - the memory utilization is quite low: However I am...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Some of the mistakes are comical. So far, my cat is 100% a dog, about 50% of the time. The street is sometimes an umbrella. Several mailboxes are people... LOL Not hating on this at all, it's just so random and funny

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I am still running the GentlePumpkin AITool but WOW look at these improvements! My previous MODE=HIGH times were 300-500ms MODE=LOW times were sometimes under 200 but mostly 250ish... Blue Iris is running on RAID0 NVME Win10Pro I7-8500 32GB RAM and I have a separate Ubuntu box running...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Is this still how we upgrade from GentlePumpkin AITool to this current fork? I attempted this several times, and the new AITool has no options, a just starts logging errors immediately - it looks broken, and nothing like that I've seen in the last 10 pages that include screen shots.

Sadly, they have been mute for months. I finally got the GPU version to install and work, but it stops after only processing 10 images. I am trying to sort that out, as I am getting times between 100-180ms.

Sighthound ALPR - Free - Seven Day Retention

It may depending on the traffic - I live on a road next to a school, so twice a day, there are a few hundred cars that go by within an hour. Eitherway, I don't think feeding this a live stream is best for me, but setting it up to review clips or images. I will try that out later.

Sighthound ALPR - Free - Seven Day Retention

Yeah, I also did not like how power hungry this was so I moved it to my gaming computer that isn't used much. How do you compare this to OpenLPR?

I was able to install the GPU version on bare metal, however it will only process 1 image before stopping. Can you share your setup and process please?

Fully Integrated Ubiquiti or Ubiquiti + Hikvision

As @HiFive said, night time quality is hard. I decided to just add "landscape" lighting to our entire yard (front back and sides) in order to always maintain color night recording. Our cameras are for security 1st, evidence collection 2nd, convenience 3rd. I spent less than $150 to add 30 LED...

Fully Integrated Ubiquiti or Ubiquiti + Hikvision

@HiFive, I actually am just finishing going from your option 1, to option 2. See my "option 1 setup" with LOTS of details here: https://community.ui.com/stories/Home-Ubiquiti-Setup-Security-networking-and-more/4f0a698f-4d02-481c-9d48-17d9c72a2327 @Mike A. makes valid points, and allows me a...

mailbox cam - what LPR camera?

Always better to have the zoom option. I use zoom on my cameras to both get detail on the target and to avoid neighboring homes/windows. I have 13 cameras in a really nice neighborhood, 7 of which can be seen from the street if you know where to look. Buying a camera with zoom allows you to...
