    WD ReadyView Cameras / NVR

I attempted to get other branded cameras to work on the NVR but none of them worked. If you google around most people have the same issues and error messages. I just watched for a deal on the system and then purchased another whole system for a great price and used the 4 cameras to make my first...

REMOVE THE FILM. This is to protect a plastic from being scratched. I was only saying your expectation of protection film over the glass is unwarranted. They are made of glass, they are protected in plastic bubble wrap and then shipped inside a foam box.

There is no protective film on the lens because they are wrapped in plastic when shipped. The IR light has film because if the IR refracts and is not sensed properly it will diminish the viewing distance. I don't think you should be annoyed, upset or confused by the lens not being covered...

You can plug in mouse and monitor directly for advanced setup but most stuff you can adjust directly in the mobile app.

Generally you wont need a junction box since it is one cat6 cable and it comes with a watertight connection. However, I had to use a junction box on one of mine. I just used a standard box with a blank cover and drilled a hole in the center for the wire. Them just used self tapping screws to...

It's amazing for me and the HD setting on the app looks excellent to me. I found the night vision is very good if you make sure nothing within 10-15ft to reflect the IR light too much. I've seen small animals around my house and even discovered it was a bird who was sneaking to eat my fruits. I...

Yeah I really just wanted the 4 extra cameras to add to my other one I showed earlier in the thread. This was the cheapest way since they sell for $80 each alone.

I guess mine was the 4 camera 2mp but total cost shipped was $118.

$349 seems a bit pricey. I just got a second one of these on sale for $99 directly from the Western Digital website.

    WD ReadyView Cameras / NVR

I just got this NVR 2mp Camera setup to upgrade to POE and higher quality. I have a previous Zmodo device Ive used for about 3 years with Zsight app on my phone. The WD Readyview was only $199 with the 4 cameras and expandability to 8 total. Im really impressed with the quality on these and...
