Set up each camera with "camera properties", "Record" "Video File format and compression" then under "Video compression" select "Direct-to-disc". Once I selected Direct to disc then the 48 camera Hikvision setup dropped from over 100 % CPU usage to 32% with spikes up to 52 % when all 48 cameras...
