    Thanks was trying all of that but I noticed that in QVR Pro camera settings it was using about 4Mbps , i reduced down to 2048 and 10 fps and now its better, still occasional corruption but less. If i went to a lower resolution that cured it. But rather have the resolution and the occasional glitch.

    In the image menu there is a scene type pulldown menu for daylight , low light ,etc you can adjust them accordingly. Then the way I did it was to create a month schedule and change between daylight and then low light during ours of daylight and night.

    Thanks for the info. The synology surveillance station looks more involved than QVR on my QNAP. So is also that detection done in synology setup and not using the built in Hikvision motion detection?

    Thanks. The issue with Hik Connect is its using its own motion detection for alerts. If i disable it then i`m not getting any human alerts from the camera. I guess i could try clearing the motion detection area on the app and see if it still lets camera detection alerts come through.
