    i think video encryption is only in regards to the microsd card. The stream itself isn't protected by this feature. The only time i had a grey screen in synology was when i had the capabilities of the camera set wrong. That or a weak connection that dropped a lot.

    so i just realized with my laview doorbell. my mechanical chime works. but i no longer get alerted on my app when someone rings my doorbell... LOL, can't win!

    my ezviz doorbell was running laview 190716 when it abruptly failed to chime.. I think the companies pushed something directly to the doorbells.. as quite a few people suddenly had this issue.

    that might be the case. its very possible that the companies that have updated to latest firmware, will be offering the wireless chime unit soon. and they are transitioning to that as well. Laview probably has no plans for the chime. So fingers crossed this means i am safe. really like the POV...

    the apps just don't let you log into several different apps at once. i have no issues with apps. and my chime issue is currently gone, so i'm happy

    switched apps back and forth with my ezviz. between hikvision and ezviz. no issues. emailed support saying i can't add to ezviz account, they told me remove it from other account lol.

    it is and has always been. even exchanged for a different one. its not the power thing.

    this happened to quite a few people on this thread. it just suddenly happened. i believe so far all reports are for ezviz units. ezviz also released a wireless chime that syncs to the db1. i think the ezviz backend disabled the relay.. if anything.

    Always had a chime connected. Ezviz worked fine for a long time. Then just stopped chiming one day

    I was running laview 190716 on my ezviz.. didnt chime, i upgraded to latest hikvision firmware, also didn't chime i have 190716 on my laview, chimes works

    ok corrections, my laview doorbell works properly i replaced my ezviz oem that refused to ring my mechanical chime with a laview oem version, and my chime is back. i think only ezviz oem versions have the chime issue at the moment?

    took out my ezviz and installed my laview one. no chime still. chime works when i short wires. something must be going on with the servers, like a few pages back, there was a link to the ezviz wireless doorbell.

    Seems like everyone that has the chime issue is ezviz? Mine is ezviz too and it was fine for so long, then one day, just nothing.. regardless of firmware

    i was running the early version of laview firmware which supported onvif.. worked well for many many months.. then it just stopped. Hopefully theres a fix for this. Great onvif doorbell. but useless without my doorbell working.
