The cameras are not that old. They are DS-2CD2342WD cameras and they work perfectly on the 4 channel NVR I have that is the same model as the new 8 channel. I am sure I will kick myself when I work it out.

If anyone can advise further since updating the NVR to the latest firmware the NVR is now detecting the cameras and showing status as 'online' But there is still no image. I think it is something to do with the encrypted stream requiring a key or code but I dont know what to enter. Any advice...
