Many thanks for the explanation. I've had a play with the i-frame setting and can see how that affects the image quality. It's still too poor in night vision mode so I think I'll ditch this dome and look to get a turret for this position instead.

I've just had to change the cable to an outside camera as water had seeped into the RJ45 connector and burnt the power pins. Fortunately the end of the fly lead took the brunt, so I'm hopeful a new lead and a quick polish of the camera RJ45 socket pins should get it back into operation.
