WTB WTB: Dahua IPC-HFW4239T-ASE :: Premium paid

Thanks for looking out. I'm messaging people here who reported buying them, LOL.

WTB WTB: Dahua IPC-HFW4239T-ASE :: Premium paid

If you follow the listing, it shows an eyeball camera, and lists it as an 8MP Hikvision, not actually a 2MP Dahua. I contacted the seller and haven't heard anything back. These cameras are obsolete, so I doubt I'll find anything new. I bought the last one from Andy, but I could use 1-2 more...

WTB WTB: Dahua IPC-HFW4239T-ASE :: Premium paid

I'm looking for a couple of IPC-HFW4239T-ASE cameras. They're old 2MP, no-IR Starlight cameras. I'll pay a premium for these cameras, as I'm trying to match existing systems. $150 each in new condition, $125 if used and good condition. PM me here, or my username at gmail.

Random "No Signal" failures, nothing in log

I verified that the failures didn't exist on the SD cards, so I switched BI from running as a service to running as a regular application. It's been 2 weeks with no failures. So... is there a reason why running as a service would cause this problem?

Random "No Signal" failures, nothing in log

My failures are once every couple of days. I need to get a microSD card into the camera that supports it and see if it's camera-side or server-side.

Random "No Signal" failures, nothing in log

I checked "Restart camera after 5 timeouts" and "Send camera reboot command if possible after 10 timeouts", and came in this morning to one camera showing the rainbow screen, but no "Loss of signal" warning. Here's the log: 1 9/12/2019 7:16:23 PM Front Signal: network...

Random "No Signal" failures, nothing in log

Forgot to mention: Running BI as a service, and usually have a second instance running to monitor.

Random "No Signal" failures, nothing in log

I've got a simple BI setup running on a local server. Not that it should matter, but it's an HP i5-6500 with 40GB RAM, recording to a single 10TB WD Enterprise drive (shucked EMAZ drive). Win10 Pro. BI Version 5.0.2.4 x64 Cameras are a pair of Dahua cameras, models don't particularly matter...

    Review: Dahua HFW5442T-ASE 4MP Starlight+

One more question. Do you know what the max bitrate is at 1080/30 res/framerate?

    Review: Dahua HFW5442T-ASE 4MP Starlight+

Awesome. Thanks! The online spec sheets are often wrong, as I can set my cameras to 10240, but the spec says it maxes out at 8192. 20Mbps is much better, and is more reasonable for a 4MP camera.

Thanks for the review. Can you let me know what the max CBR bitrate is for h.264?

    Alarm output questions on IPC-HFW4239T-ASE

Tangent, Thanks. There's so much information in different places that I must have missed that discussion. It's not an open collector, but a current sink. It'll work, but the behavior is opposite what I need (alarm output on=light off, alarm off=light on). I can spin up a custom little board to...

    Alarm output questions on IPC-HFW4239T-ASE

Thanks, I'll check that out. I have a source of 12v, so I'll size the resistor appropriately.

    Alarm output questions on IPC-HFW4239T-ASE

Hello IPcamTalk folks! I recently purchased a couple of IPC-HFW4239T-ASE from EmpireTech, and I'm having trouble understanding the "alarm out" wires that are provided. Dahua's spec sheet makes it sound like the output can deliver 300mA at 12VDC (from IPC-HFW4239T-ASE), which I need to use to...
