    Should I avoid Blue Iris

Thanks guys. I played with the settings and found "Video during Remote Desktop" setting set to 5 seconds. I switched it to unrestricted and now stream is fine. I must admit, I got a little frustrated as I've tried 3 different CCTV management software and without changing any settings I recieved...

    Should I avoid Blue Iris

RDP isn't the issue. I can play video while showing you the 5 seconds lag. Lag is from Blue Iris. I have not seen this issue when trying different software. I know I'm doing something wrong but again I would expect at least I can get normal video stream with default settings.

    Should I avoid Blue Iris

I didn't know that the camera I got is that bad. The Dahua guy told me it's a hot item at the moment. This's the camera I bought is DH-IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-S3 In regards to Blue Iris, I'm talking about just adding the camera to Blue Iris as is with its default settings, I found live view is...

    Should I avoid Blue Iris

Hi Guys, I bought myself 4 8mp Dahua TIOC IP cameras. I have a decent computer (10th gen i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 8 cores and 32GB RAM). I installed Blue Iris demo and no matter what camera I add the live stream is awful. I've tried my new Dahua cameras and old Dlink cameras and they are all the...

Perfect! I'll start playing with the cameras over the next few days. Does the free Dahua SmartPSS software has this feature?

IP Dahua TIOC alarm wiring without an NVR

Hi Guys, I bought 3x HDW3849HP IP Cameras. The camera got 4 alarm wires that as I understand they connect to NVR. I don't have NVR, I'll be using probably Blue Iris on my server for recording. Is there any Dahua device or a way where I can connect those alarm wires to? I want to configure the...

Stuck with DLink cameras and they are expensive

I agree not all DLink models are there even with latest device pack. For motion sensitivity, contrast settings, camera settings you can do this from the camera itself. There's autostart as well auto login. There's built-in webserver with remote access. I think there's a mobile client but its...

Stuck with DLink cameras and they are expensive

That's true I agree. Any local CCTV professional installers here mainly use Hikvision, Dahua, Bosch. They don't touch DLink cams not even the business grade ones. As a beginner or with little knowledge on CCTV, you will end up with brands like TPlink DLink or Swann cameras which's very popular...

Stuck with DLink cameras and they are expensive

Thank you. Will give it a try. Hikvision cams are still 10 times better than DLink. I record to a local storage but also have network storage.

Is it the HikCentral Professional software? I'll look into it.

Stuck with DLink cameras and they are expensive

I already spent $300 x 3 on very poor quality cameras. I tried Blue Iris with one of the cameras and I didn't like or maybe I'm not used to it. I want to know why DLink cameras are expensive with lower quality compared to others but if no reason I'll try to get used to Blue Iris and switch to...

Stuck with DLink cameras and they are expensive

Hi All, I was looking into switching from DLink cameras to Dahua which have amazing cameras at reasonable prices. Anyway after a bit research found out that if I switch to something like Dahua or Hikvision, I'll be limited to either have to use the paid software Blue Iris or something like the...
