Review- EmpireTech IPC-E35IR-AS-S2 5MP 1/2.7" CMOS IR Fixed-Focal Dome Network Camera

Can these cameras be firmware downgraded? I've got a couple that have v3.140.0000000.15.R 2024-03-30 on them, and I'd like to go back a version or two to see if network issues in the current firmware are absent in older firmware. Is this possible on these cameras?

How to enable Native Internet Explorer in Windows 11 to access your IP cams.

No matter what I tried, no form of IE (via command line, Edge, Firefox, IE itself, etc...) will work for me. I ended up installing the iVMS software in order to manage the Hikvision cameras that require IE. Unfortunately, iVMS has some serious issues, and is very frustrating to use. But if...

How to enable Native Internet Explorer in Windows 11 to access your IP cams.

Wish it was as easy as this. Didn't work for me. Line: 1 Char: 1 Error: ActiveX component can't create object: 'InternetExplorer.Application' Code: 800A01AD Source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error

Review- EmpireTech IPC-E35IR-AS-S2 5MP 1/2.7" CMOS IR Fixed-Focal Dome Network Camera

I recently (~ 6 weeks ago) bought two of these cameras, one a 3.6mm, and the other a 2.8mm. I loaded the most recent firmware (v3.140.0000000.15.R 2024-03-30) into both, and installed them. They both work fine as cameras, but one has trouble that the other does not. These are remotely...

Wifi Outdoor Solar Powered Optical Zoom Motion Camera quest

What is PLA? I tried a trail cam solution, but the motion detection wasn't sensitive enough to pick up people more than 20 feet away.

Wifi Outdoor Solar Powered Optical Zoom Motion Camera quest

Thanks for quoting me the most expensive EmpireTech camera listed on Amazon. Unfortunately it's out of stock, and doesn't appear to be solar powered. :) I realize that my existing wifi isn't going to make it 600 feet, but that's an easy problem to solve. Finding a camera solution is why I came...

Wifi Outdoor Solar Powered Optical Zoom Motion Camera quest

Thanks for all of that wittaj. I had seen your replies to other threads here, and read through much of that material. Not finding what I was after, I started a new thread. If wifi is the deal killer, then 4GLTE it is. I'm not morally opposed to it, but didn't feel like I needed it. I don't even...

    Dahua / Loryta passwords question

Just tested it again, and yes, I can paste the password into the box for logging in. (not sure why I had trouble before) I cannot paste a password into the boxes on the Setup/System/Account/Modify menu page.

    Dahua / Loryta passwords question

Hmm, Firefox is my primary browser, and I could not copy/paste into the password fields. Couldn't do it with Chrome either.

    Dahua / Loryta passwords question

New to the Dahua eco-system, but a long time user of Hikvision cameras. Recently bought a couple of Loryta IPC-E3541F-AS-M 2.8mm cameras, and have 2 questions about passwords. 1) I am not able to paste a password into the login password field. Is this normal for Dahua / Loryta? I use fairly...

Suggestions needed for small IP cams like the Hikvision Mini Domes

Now sitting on a small pile (5 I think) of these DS-2CD25x2 Mini Dome cameras from Hikvision with IR Cut Filter issues. Anyone have any use for these? I'm guessing that if you either: a) only use them in a dark environment or b) remove the IR Cut Filter and only use them in a light environment...

    IPC-E3541F-AS-M SMD 3.0 IPC-HX5(4)(3)XXX-Leo_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000000.29.R.210630.zip

Picked up a IPC-E3541F-AS-M to replace a failed Hikvision of similar size. Got to playing with it today, and so far I'm pretty happy. First question: Where in the software interface can I find the model number? I expected it to be in the Information>Version screen, but it's not there. Thanks.
