I turned off 'run as service' on the old install in preparation to do the upgrade. Now I get the error pictured, and can't even run it in demo because it says I have zero days remaining on the demo.

Thank you. I will purchase the upgrade key on the old laptop. Hoping the cpu can handle it. It has been running 80-100% on v4. Then I install v5 on the new refurb, and have to reinstall all 9 cameras? The backup likely won't work?

I was installing it on the new refurb from the dvd I purchased a few years ago. Then it asked if I wanted to install the v4 update. I said yes, but never saw it update. Then I tried importing my settings from the old laptop, and bi wasn't happy. Wouldn't run.

I'm finally going to upgrade to bi 5. Have been running v4 for a few years. I see ebay sellers listing it for around $55. Is this for a valid license? Why is it listed for sale on here for $62? Does a v5 license only last for 1 year, or is it just support that expires? I'm doing the upgrade...

If you can afford the extra $$, I would agree to go with the Netgear. I have only been running the Moker for a couple weeks. I chose to go budget for my setup. That may end up costing me in the long run. We'll see.

All of your 8 cameras will be poe? As of today, I have only powered one poe camera with the Moker switch. It does have 8 poe ports listed at 30w, but also says 120w total poe power budget. I'll assume that's the max poe power it can supply. Maybe someone more knowledgeable in poe can comment on...
