There is never not a good time to quote UHF.

OpenWeatherMap City wrong (by 20+ miles)

Good evening, Due to the death of Wunderground's API (I haven't bought a weatherstation to get a new key) I tried out the built in OpenWeathMap, and to my delight when I first used it, the results were very positive. However less than a month later, I'm now getting a significantly different...

Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more!

Just wanted to share some amusement: Found out last month that the station ID I've been using for >1-year is a neighbor whom I'd never met. My wife has been friends with his wife for around a year, and we finally had dinner at their place, and got talking shop (he's a code monkey) - started...

CodeProject.AI on a separate PC on the network

It's the network latency that kills it a bit. Even on a dedicated VLAN with dedicated 1gb network ports (my BI 'server' has a 4-port Intel NIC) it's not as fast as running locally =(

    Is CodeProject.AI done?

FWIW there was a comment by the OP in that Reddit post that said: So, there's some hope there. I'd really rather not trade out all my cameras for Ai cameras, but I agree that it needs some TLC. Even Ubiquiti's Ai is doing better. So, if BI itself isn't going to natively invest in some local...

    FYI - Mesh/Remote CPAI

This is mostly just as an "FYI" that CPAI has both a Mesh option and the ability to connect with remote systems for handling Ai detections. This can be VERY handy if you're running BI on a system that can't run with a GPU. My BI system has the PCIe slot but no additional power(It only has like...

    Dat file backlog?

I've had a few times where my docker container is down due to a windows update, and I'm curious if CPAI/BI can intelligently go back through all the .dat files that BI shoved in the alerts folder and validate against them with CPAI or not.

How to find out WHY it missed an event

So, here's a screen shot of the event in question: Here's a freeze fame from the export: You can clearly see that it detects motion - but there's NO alert generated, and thus no Ai analysis run by CPAI. When I go back I can't select the test/tune to see if AI detection would even go against...

    outdoor solar camera system recommendation

So what it sounds like is that there's not really that big of a positive regard for things like LTE / Solar cameras? Even Dahua doesn't appear to have any available state side. I'm looking for a similar setup for Goat rental, where PTZ would be ideal to 'look around'. I'd be willing to even...

    Hardware decisions - to Quadro?

I've been running my 4 cameras with BI on an Optiplex 7070 MT with an i5-9500 and 16gb ram, with an Intel PCI nvme for docker (AI), DB, alerts and first storage. What I've found is that really, I need a GPU. This means I'll have to either upgrade my m.2 to something more write intensive (not...

Ui3 error on high resolution streams

I have 4 different cameras, all are 2160p, two turret and two bullet. One turret is amcrest the rest are Dahua. Recently, the bullet 2160p streams have started failing with this error message in the web browser: I've done resets on the UI settings, and cleared browser cache. Works fine on...

    API connection down

I just went through and deleted all of the station IDs in my list and readded - one didn't work, one did... At least for now. So my guess is it's just WU being not very friendly with BIT (which is 100% not Mike's fault)

    API connection down

Yeah, It sounds like this may need the developer to update it to either allow us to manually point it at another API, or (as the API is likely WU specific) pick one that hasn't sunset their API integration as it looks like WU has (from what I have found online, it's been planned for a couple of...

    API connection down

Well I'll be damned. I believe that this may be a case of Schrödinger's BIT - 1:32 was when I connected back to my RDP session... Maybe it only dies when you look directly AT the BIT... :banghead: - it also started working after disconnecting from the session earlier... Kinda wish I could enable...

    API connection down

Oddly, that makes me feel better; what OS/build are you running? I'm on 22621.1105 (Win 11 Pro)
