yep, it was something really obvious! You have to select video&audio from the video settings!

Just picked one up off eBay, powered it up, installed the web viewer component and....no audio The slider at the bottom left of the Live View window shows muted. The volume slider moves, but doesn't give me any audio and I cant 'unmute' it Model DS-2CD2432F-IW Firmware Version V5.3.0...
