That camera doesnt seem to fall into the inexpensive category being $1400.. Any less expensive ideas?

Can anyone recommend POE PTZ varifocal cameras that are inexpensive yet can record 60fps? I thought I knew which camera I would get but I found it only had 30fps. Thanks..

The US site does not have the SD22204T-GN. The only network PTZ that is lite series is DH-SD22A204TN-GNI. The SD22204T-GN on the international site says 30fps on both the site and the datasheet: Dahua Technology - Leading Video Surveillance Solution Provider with CCTV Products, IP Camera, PTZ...

Here is more.. The UK site has the SD22204T-GN with 60fps.. and the UK datasheet shows 60fps.. Bah this is so frustrating.. :banghead:

It may have a similar number but certainly not a similar price. You may be correct that the SD22A204TN-GNI is the US version of the international SD22204T-GNbut on the dahua website the 22A204 says it does 720P 60fps but the 22204 only says 720P 30fps.

B&H doesnt have that camera or at least I cant find it. The closest can find is SD22A204 but those are different. Dahua's OLD website had it at 60fps which is possibly the source of the 60fps.. SD22204T-GN | Dahua Technology

I am trying to decide between these two cameras. They dont really seem different to me or perhaps I am missing something. Why would I pick one over the other? Anyone know of other cameras similar to these that I should look at also? Thx

bp2008 is correct. Unless someone is running a binary on the camera itself it would be unaffected. Is there a 3rd party website that can help people truly search by specifications? Most of my attempts let me filter by only one or two specs.

I was looking for SD29204T-GN on their website but it is not there. Looks like lots of cameras are no longer there. Any idea what is going on with the SD29204T-GN? Is there a replacement to that camera?

You could setup your router to allow only SSH to your Ubuntu box. You could then SSH to your ubuntu box and configure an SSH tunnel to each camera. I have never done this with android but it would work with a computer.

Soloshot will not work indoors until they release their indoor accessory. Even then the price will be about $900 and for that much I could simply buy multiple still cameras and record them all.

Ok so fine it sounds like autotracking is out... Yo manufacturers if you hear this step up your game guys.. Any idea of the camera can be configured to move to a preset location based on seeing movement in the current preset location? (see my post above)
