    Well the UI has certainly changed, but no, there's no gain setting under Exposure. I tried all six of the options: Basic, Front Light, Back Light, Low Illumination, Custom 1 and Custom 2. The firmware is Firmware_V5.7.19_241207...

    Okay, I went off to check and it wasn't there - I only had "Iris", " Anti Banding" and the actual exposure. I missed your post @wittaj and have started updating the firmware on one of them. That would be in "Low Illumination" mode IIRC? I'll go back and check now as the update will be done.

    A question - do you use the HDMI output? The new software seems to cut the audio off when the system auto locks users out. I can't find a way to get the audio to work in that situation- which is annoying. My old 7608NI-I2 used to keep the audio going all the time.

    That's a bit odd, what is stopping you running more and what bitrate have you set them up to? I've got four running on my old DS-7608NI-I2/8P, the problem being the 10Mbps max on each channel limits the image quality. (I don't know if it will run more than four, as that's all I have.)

    I've gone ahead and purchased the NVR off them. They've been very good responding to questions and gave me a discount. All up the price is on par with the prices on AliExpress - once freight and 10% GST is added on.
