Worlds First Review - Dahua DH-IPC-PFW5849-A180-E2 - Dual Lens 180 Degree Full Color 4K (8MP Stitched) Camera

Does this camera ned a special NVR to view the stream? I am using Camect Smart Camera Hub: Industry Leading AI for your Security Cameras for my NVR and it has been rock solid for the past 2 years. Would they need to release a patch to support the dual sensor camera?

Blue IRIS with URC Total Control/Control4

We are thinking about getting either Total Control or Control4 for our house and I am wondering if Blue Iris supports sending feeds to those products. It looks like there is something for Control 4 (HouseLogix. Blue Iris NVR - Control4 Driver) but I have not seen anything for Total Control. I...

    Which Dahua's?

Have the budget and will have 12 cameras +4 APs + other devices plugged in. Thought about the 24 port POE & a non POE but wanted to stick to one switch. Also like the UniFi ecosystem and would use their cameras if they were decent.

    Which Dahua's?

I am leaning towards BI & will be getting the ubiquiti 48 port POE switch(UniFi Switch 48 (500W))

    Which Dahua's?

What NVR do you guys recommend(is there a 16 port)? I was thinking about BI but I don't want to tinker too much. I work in IT and already do enough of that during the day. If I went with a Dahua NVR can I stream my camera feed to tablets? I will wall mount a few to use as picture...

    Which Dahua's?

We are building a new home and a few months ago I took some camera wiring rough ins based on advice from a few folks here. This is where all the camera wiring is: Our house will be done in the next 4-6 weeks and I wanted to purchase the cameras before we moved in. I've been reading through...

New House, outdoor rough wiring for security cameras

I had a brief intro/walk through with the guy today and he was pretty helpful. He said his pricing is kind of firm because he has to kick some money back to the builder (not sure if this is accurate). For the 2nd floor I am asking them to run conduit (should I go with 2 or 1 inch?) into the...

New House, outdoor rough wiring for security cameras

The basement will be unfinished from the builder. However he is insulating the ceiling and sheetrocking it. The front will be brick other than the garage (he wanted 7k to do that area, we will do it after closing). The sides and back are vinyl.

New House, outdoor rough wiring for security cameras

I am going to get cabling for access points, 7.2 in the family room, speakers in kitchen/breakfast nook, and study. All cabling will be terminated in the basement. Should the security cabling be terminated in the basement as well? Or should it come out to a wall by the front door? I also...

$45 is dirt cheap... Wish our guy was that cheap.

New House, outdoor rough wiring for security cameras

WOW! Thanks alot for this! We plan on having a fairly large deck. From the sliding door on the first floor to pretty much the sliding door in the basement (right to the yellow/orage camera all the way on the left) I am not sure why they are having us meet with the low voltage guys before...

New House, outdoor rough wiring for security cameras

The company also does security system wiring. Full blown setup costs something like this (my friend is also building in this development and has been through this) Rough wiring instead of having them install the window/door sensors cost 1200 (this is what I will take). Is there something...

New House, outdoor rough wiring for security cameras

I will have to check with the contractor on what type of cable they use (I can't wire anything myself but I might try to if I can get in after inspection)
