    Btw, after few days of research I am leaning towards LTS-branded Hikvisions, as opposed to e.g. Dahua. Seems like better support/price/choices overall.

    What NVR would you recommend? Needs: Up to 16 4MP (LTS/Hikvision) cameras. No POE needed (will use separate switch). Alarm inputs would be nice.

    Very informative thread, thanks for all the info. Question: curious, how much storage do you budget per 4MP camera? I guess it depends how many days one wants to keep around.

    Joined the forum since it seems to be the best resource for IP cam information! Looking to buy a bunch of cam for the house, inside/outside. Had it wired, now it's time to use all the wires :cool:
