I have similar issue, my dahua camera is set to 7fps, in blue iris it is registering 25, always, cannot work out what is going on, been at it all day, I have but rate fixed real life, fps at 7, etc etc, bi always reports 25, if I get it to stick to 7 in bi for a minute my recordings are 1.5mb...

but surely if i capped bit rate at 1280 (not sure what that equates to in fps) how could it send bi 25fps, its just odd, as i had it all setup, it ran one night and 1 hr of video was 44mb, last night (no settings changed on camera or BI) 1hr of footage was 130mb, same environment, same camera...

Here is an odd thing I just noticed. See the screenshots. On the mobile app you can see it is reporting a frame rate of near 25, but if you look at camera set up it is set to 5 on mobile and 8 on desktop, and in bi it is called to 10. Why does the mobile report wrongly? Any ideas? Thanks Darren

oh, i read on here in a few places that high res cameras like the 8mb star light not as good as the 2mb at night due to letting in less light, maybe altering the resolution down on a higher mb camera still doesn't let in more light. I did a lot of testing last night on getting a good trade off...
