    Your killing me bob, left of the phone icon is the same as between the RAM usage and phone icon, but thank you for replies all.

    This particular icon or symbol I am referring is not a permanent icon. I stated that it pops up occasionally and then goes away. It last for 3 to 10 seconds and clears itself.

    I was wondering what the yellow hard drive (disk) symbol is that pops up occasionally between the RAM usage and the phone icon down in the status area. It only shows up once in a while and stays on for seconds. Thanks Matt
