These 2 Latest Lorex 4k Cams + Ubiquiti (UniFi) 4k Cam?

Nice, thanks fenderman for the response.... been busy with some house projects so haven't had time to get back to this.. but hopefully in the next week I'll do another night test, and i'll follow your suggestions, and get some motion video captured, at better height, distance, etc... and I'll...

These 2 Latest Lorex 4k Cams + Ubiquiti (UniFi) 4k Cam?

So, my initial thoughts are this: 1) The Dahua 5231 seems to have a bit better night vision coverage at the target range of about 38 feet or so, as you can clearly see the sign still visible and the tree above it.. but notice the clairity of all the grass and closer objects within the main...

These 2 Latest Lorex 4k Cams + Ubiquiti (UniFi) 4k Cam?

Here's the 5231 at 8:30pm, fully dark here, no lights around except for neighbors house through the trees.... Note: I think there were a couple of small dirt specs on the lens, but not where you see all of these reflections that look like 'spots'? unless maybe they are on the actual camera...

These 2 Latest Lorex 4k Cams + Ubiquiti (UniFi) 4k Cam?

Hi All, Just wanted to post some initial images... One of us can do a review at some point, ArmoredDragon, you want to do a review thread on this camera? I haven't finished fully testing yet... but here's some night shots... 1) The 'target' in my test was a color 'Math' Poster from my wife's...

These 2 Latest Lorex 4k Cams + Ubiquiti (UniFi) 4k Cam?

BTW, Someone already did take a look, took the front cover off one of these, it does actually have a single IR LED in between the two White LEDs... https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/new-lorex-system-at-costco-what-do-you-guys-think.40077/#post-383351

These 2 Latest Lorex 4k Cams + Ubiquiti (UniFi) 4k Cam?

Ahh...interesting... I'm not sure I want bright white LEDs on at night once it get's dark... so I'l see how bad it is with no white LEDs on.... would be better suited with this camera if they had put IR LEDs on it along with the White LEDS as a security feature, for the bright light... but...

These 2 Latest Lorex 4k Cams + Ubiquiti (UniFi) 4k Cam?

I first used a browser (firefox) for this Lorex camera and my Dahua 5231 just to see it's initial config, etc... But you can download a free 15-day trial version of BlueIris (it will just put a 'BLUE IRIS DEMO' in blue lettering across your video output, but otherwise you can see everything...

These 2 Latest Lorex 4k Cams + Ubiquiti (UniFi) 4k Cam?

I haven't been able to find hardly anything with 2-way audio (that isn't the low-end crap) except these Lorex cams... that's why I'm going to try one.. FYI, I got my 5231 from Andy, since it came directly from HK, its sitting for a few day quarantine in my garage, just to be safe :) LOL I...

These 2 Latest Lorex 4k Cams + Ubiquiti (UniFi) 4k Cam?

Yeah, the bestbuy/costco prices that were posted above in this thread are $100 cheaper... amazing Lorex prices are that much higher.... I just wonder if either of these 'Lorex' models equate to some Dahua models, or could these be custom ones Dahua made just for Lorex, and wont' be solder...

These 2 Latest Lorex 4k Cams + Ubiquiti (UniFi) 4k Cam?

Oh sweet, that's a nice find... yeah, I too don't have a Costco membership since they aren't really in my town. (you can buy it still from their site, but with a 5% non-member fee)... So this is even better, thanks for posting! I will probably pick one of these up in the next couple weeks...

These 2 Latest Lorex 4k Cams + Ubiquiti (UniFi) 4k Cam?

Yep, exactly.... I'll bench test first just to see how it works in general, then if it seems decent, I'll install it outside where my current bullet is now, that's very low light... That's what is awesome about Costco, you can return just about everything! I could probably sledge hammer it...
