Does anybody know if there is a Linux script knocking around rather than a windows .exe? I have a Dell Poweredge server running Ubuntu among various other things 24/7 and i'd like to be able to run a script similar to the windows tool (grabs sunrise/sunset times for my area and applies settings...
All my dahua cams act the same way. I set them to reboot daily which helps a little but I experience the same problems as you and like you, I just resorted to my old hikvision NVR.
I have 3 Hikvision cams and one random brand pinhole Poe cam plugged directly into the hik NVR Poe ports which puts them on the 192.168.254... subnet. I have 4 other Dahua cameras on my network powered by a separate Poe switch on a different subnet which were automatically picked by the hik NVR...

Government agency forgot to delete/edit logs. OP uncovered the truth and has now...

Various people have been identified and arrested due to the footage from my CCTV cams. The latest was a horrible man who attacked elderly ladies in their homes before robbing them. Unfortunately for him he followed one of the victims right beside my house and walked past again after the crime...
I use an older firmware Hik nvr. I setup an email address for notifications with mail.ru which seems to offer one of the only "less secure" SMTP servers and still works with my nvr without messing about with any other settings (for example with Gmail).
