    yes confirmed it does not swap it. i will go see if i can find one of these adaptors.

    its a NVR608H-32-XI i checked the adaptor and pins 2 and 3 and 5 all come out the other side how they should do. any other ideas?

    yes db9 connector.i will check later, so maybe the tx and rx are around the wrong way??

    what do you do then, tried on a working NVR and same thing, nothing, baud rate should be 115200
