When turning off port forwarding and using the VPN, do you still get push notifications/messages/alerts that someone is at the door or it detects motion? And if you wanted to view who was at the door, you would quickly have to turn on the VPN to view the cameras?

I'm trying to update this camera and every time it fails with this version. IPC-HDBW4231F-AS

on the app, click the message tab, then click the + sign on the top left. turn it on, then select either ai analysis and choose which alert you turned on or select motion detection.

solved: i updated my camera firmware and nvr firmware and issue is now fixed.

mine stopped working since sunday. i'm wondering if its an app problem ?

My iDMSS Plus notifications on iOS have been working great all year. Just today the notifications are taking about 1 minute to show up on my phone. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Thank you!! I set IVS up yesterday and its awesome! Don't really need motion detection when you can create tripwire alerts.

I have motion detection turned on and bugs that fly around the camera will alert me. What setting do I need to change?? I don't care for the bugs. Also what setting do I need to change so that I don't get alerted when the lights turn off/on because when the porch light turns on I get a 'motion'...

i'm recording to an NVR that is 4tb and there is plenty of space on there.

how far back can you go? i can only go 1 hour back. any idea how i can change this?

Can someone help me too. When I view playback on my phone with iDMSS i can only playback 1 hour . How do i set it so I can playback more than 1 hour ?
