My wife is getting a new building and she'd like to be able to do a timelapse and have remote viewing of the site.

I did a site visit with the site supervisor and he thinks that placing a cameras hlaf way up a temporary telephone pole will present the best view. Our budget is around $100 while also needing a poe injector.

I was looking at Dahua IPC-HFW4431R-Z but it lacks a sd card slot, and I dont know how much I can trust the internet at a live construction site. I'd like the timelapse to be scheduled and saved to the sd card, and then remote viewing available anywhere. I also hope that I can remotely pull the images off the camera so I dont have to climb a ladder to swap sd cards.

What do you guys recommend?

Have you thought about a trail camera? Some will do time lapse, even at night. Of course there's trade-offs (battery life, accessibility of images on SD card, etc.) but also some pluses. You could probably figure a way to power it with an AC to DC adapter, too.

How far is your site from your residence? If you can have to antennas to have line of sight, you can install a pair of ubiquiti locoM5 units and do the recording from your home and check on the build.

The site supervisor has a wired internet connection. If there's nothing else in the price range, I can just point this camera at my blueiris install and hope for the best.

Hmmm. See if you can get it to work but he might be on a different subnet if I'm thinking correctly?
