question:

- the FTP menu allows to setup SFTP? or only FTP?
- is this ftping video or only snapshots?
- how to setup video ftping from all cameras all the time? what is MD vs Regular?

problem is i have only 4tb hdd and 8 cameras already, which as a result only saves last 5 days, plus I want the ftp in case of nvr damage / robbery.

any suggestion how to setup the stuff to save the recording on the cloud? from nvr?

Given the transfer rate to the "cloud", in a general sense anyway, I'd forget that idea and look at things like resolution, frame rater and bit rate. I have nine, 2MP, cameras all running at 10FPS, 4096 max bit rate. I have a 4TB drive and there's almost a gig left on it with a seven day retention rule in BI.

Hi
First you need to setup a ftp server:
if you are using windows : TFTPD32 : an opensource IPv6 ready TFTP server/service for windows : TFTP server
if linux : ProFTPd, PureFTPd ...

then you need to set some parameters on nvr

Perhaps a very simple thought.. why not add a 2nd hdd. Only one is active most of the time.

Oblar, so this is only FTP, no SFTP

I have no problem with server configuration, but I see problems with understanding what to ftp.

I see regular, md, alarm - and above you can see filesize and interval, so I am confused, if the nvr ftps only snapshots, not video files. but on the other hand you can check "regular" which means full streams... next if i will check md, for sure I need to schedule md timeslots in parallel to the regular on SCHEDULE menu?
