Hello all! Loving my hikvision setup so far, but needed a little bit more lighting for the cams, and I actually have farther away places I want to illuminate. Im running flood lights now on just one side, and the ones that have the flood look absolutley amazing. I was thinking why not illuminate everything outside too? I was looking at getting some 100 led solar from Amazon for about 36.00 $ a peice but wanted opionions before I pulled the trigger. Im in the mountains, and I would love to own one of those 1000 $ infared unit's, the ones where it just blasts extreme mass inrared light everywhere but cant justify the cost. Anyway, what have you folks used with lasting success?

I have maybe 3 or 4 of these throughout my property. They are decent enough and help with the cameras. http://amzn.to/1NReugC

Thanks mate. I was looking at those exact ones actually. Questions- have you had them long, and can you attest to their longevity? Do you leave them on all night? If so, how long do they last, till dawn? I was hoping to get away from the whole "huge security lights on all night" look, but in the current situation they may be necessary due to some recent "individuals" of whom i hear have been around lately,

"creatures of the night" type.

Just wanted some opinions before I bought some. The people need to be clearly indentified for it to count. I already have my head around a RAYMAX unit and im talking about the best one they make. Decisions decisions. .......:)

I have had them for a couple of years and they are still running strong. On a few of them I sealed the panel and light a bit (waterproof caulking) as per some reviews mentioned, but I don't see a difference in the ones that I didn't. I would not keep them on all night, I doubt they would last more than a few hours, if that. Mine turn on when motion is detected and pick up my dog, people and animals, but you can adjust the sensitivity. I also mounted one inside my shed, with the panel outside of course. It lights up the entire shed and has turned on each time I have walked in at night. For the money they are good enough, but don't expect anything remotely close to a hard wired light.
