Dahua NVR - Audio During Live Video?

Greetings all,

I have a DHI-NVR5216-16P-4KS2E that I am using my FireFox browser to connect to. When I am watching a live camera, I don't see any way to hear the audio coming from the cameras I have. If I navigate to the playback area (instead of live), and playback some video, I am able to hear audio and there is a volume slider at the bottom of the video. So, I know the audio works because I can hear it in playback. I can hear it in SmartPSS also, and I can hear it on my phone with GDMSS. I just can't see a way to hear audio during live viewing through my browser to the NVR.

Use Internet Explorer and see if that enables the web audio.
Yes, IE still exits. Search for how to run it.

I'll give that a try. Odd that with PLAYBACK, audio works fine in Firefox - its just LIVE that audio doesn't work. Off to find iexplore.exe now.

Two simple ways

The simple way is to change the BHO folder to another name like oldBHO and BAM Explorer is back...and this thread also shows other ways...

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\110.0.1512.48\

Then change BHO to oldBHO or something else and Explorer will open

OR

Copy this in notepad and save as IE.vbs and make it a shortcut on your desktop

CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application").Visible=true

Its your browser, you're not seeing the controls. Works with IE or in my case Edge in IE mode
