I have a few of these cameras and I use them with BI. Recently one starting detecting motion all the time and I kept finding the video detection checked which I don't want since I use IVS with people and car detecion. I upgraded the firmware to the one dated 2023-12-21 which I downloaded from Empiretech. FIrmware.

The constant motion detection has been fixed but now the IVS doesn't appear to be working. I reviewed the settings and they look correct. I compared them to another camera with a different firmware which is working and there is basically no difference.

Camera Settings:
Event > Video Detection - Uncheck Motion Detection
Event > Video Detection > Smart Plan - Uncheck Smart Motion Detection
Event > Smart Plan - select IVS
Event > IVS - New Intrusion Rule
Draw Rule
Check Appears, Cross
Object Filter - Check Human, Motor Vehicle
Save

Has anyone else upgraded and have this issue?

Yes.
Best practice when updating firmware in any camera is:
1-Reset camera back to factory defaults.
2-Update firmware.
3-Again reset camera to factory defaults.
(Note, some cameras may require 3 factory defaults after firmware update)

Is the “record” box or “Event Linkage” Record enabled? Easy to miss
In the IVS tab? No but this is also unchecked in another camera with older firmware and it is working.

Okay. That is a pain since the cameras are on a VLAN and resetting them will cause them to go back to a default network but I will try it and see what happens. Thanks.

UPDATE
Okay I set it to factory settings, updated the firmware and setup IVS and there is still no alerts working.
Do the settings that I listed look correct? Either the firmware caused an issue or the setting need to be different with this new version.
