I would stick with the 4MP version unless you don't care about low light performance as the 8MP is on the same size sensor as the 4MP so the 8MP needs twice the light as the 4MP to produce a comparable image in terms of brightness.

The BR58 series does have the new GUI for the Z4E model (up to 32mm focal length) which would be too much for your needs, but you can see how it compares to the 4MP in lower light conditions which may or may not be an issue for you.

Given the improvements that Dahua has made with the 5442 S3 series and the incredible night performance improvements, time to see if putting 8MP on the same size sensor results in a degradation or improved performance, so compliments of @EMPIRETECANDY we have one to do a side-by-side comparison...

You can follow along with this thread and see them real time, or you will receive an email from Andy letting you know and to confirm any options.

I know if you order from Amazon you need to email him a copy of your invoice to receive your tickets. Just to be safe, if you order from his website, I would also send an email with your order information. Almost every sale there is someone who didn't do this and missed out on their tickets.

Usually a few days after the sale ends, Andy will ask several members here to draw numbers and the results are posted real time here during the day of the drawing.

When finished, Andy will then send an email to each winner and send them their winning camera.

Somewhere it did say they where looking to sell 320 tickets. Guess that goal was reached.

Ohh man !! i just started to dive in to make a system for my house and I have a bunch your camera's on my Amazon Cart ! Should I just go through the website instead ?
