Searched a long time for a keyboard that I could use remotely with my Dahua NVR, since the NVR is hidden away in a closet, and the TV's in the house are connected via IP. I use that same keyboard with my smart TV, a Sony 65" with Google TV O/S and Chrome browser. Works great and is sooo much better than the onscreen virtual keyboard.
If the TV is a "smart" TV with a compatible browser, you should be able to open up BI's UI3 webserver over the Wi-Fi.
