Color 4K-T -- Day / Night... im missing something

I leave the volume at 75-80 for that particular camera, but since all of my cameras have windscreens, I am sure that attenuates a lot of the volume. I make windscreens from standard microphone foam windscreens and Rode DeadCat windshields. I attach them to the cameras with Command Strips. It makes a huge difference in the sound quality--especially dialogue.

I'll see if I can take some pictures tomorrow of the windscreens. It's raining hard here today on the California Coast. The screens are quite easy to make. If the cameras are out in the open I tend to use the foam windscreens, but it they are installed under a covered area (like a porch), I prefer the DeatCat style for filter or more wind attenuation.

where on the Coast of Cali?

Here is a pic of one of the cameras with a DIY windscreen. I used to do a lot of audio recording and had several black and gray windscreens for microphones that I could cut up and experiment using on the cameras.. For my black cameras I of course used the black windscreens, and for the white cameras I used gray. I know there are white foam windscreens available, but the ones I tried just didn't seem to work well in the sun. They disintegrated quickly from exposure to the elements, so I just used the gray ones I had. (They definitely made mic windscreens better back in the 80's/90's!) At first I used Command Strips to fasten the windscreens to the cameras but then I found some double-sided tape that worked just about as well, and it's a lot thinner too. Here is a link to it: windscreen.jpg

Awesome @tmxv4128 ... and if it is protected by the elements, you just pull some "dead cat hairs" and toss 'em on there which I presume is better audio solution?

As it sounds like you well know, good audio requires some work (whether from webcams, recording, video, etc.) ... and I never thought about this simple trick - thanks for the idea!
