Wondering if you guys can help shed some light on a subject as I am getting conflicting answers. My main pc home , is my plex server , plus has a few extra drives for back of important information. I am looking to put a password on a drive or two so it can not be access by anyone but me, I was looking at bitlocker but my home version does not have it. I read it can do that, others say no it it will not. I am confused now. I dont want to upgrade if it cant do that.

Bitlocker requires the Pro, Enterprise or Education version of Windows, not availble on the Home version.

Home version has Device Encryption (simplified BitLocker) available if your machine meets certain requirements. It is also all or nothing sort of thing.
To do what you want, you'll need BitLocker, which is not available on Home editions of Windows.

You could use other alternatives though, like VeraCrypt (free and open source).
