Suggestions for camera pole installation, power to NEMA box?

Getting the hang of it

I'm beginning to see the end of the road on our camera upgrade project that we've been working on and I've been wanting to install a camera in a remote parking lot on our campus. I thought we might could try to source a 9-10ft 4x4 post that we can anchor into a concrete pad, run power in the pole to a NEMA box and then use a wireless bridge to handle the traffic since there's already one about 1500ft away that we can beam it to. I've been looking at NEMA enclosures that have power outlets inside for ease of plugging in a POE switch for the wireless bridge and camera.

The issue I'm running into because I've never done this before, is how to get the power from inside the pole into the NEMA box. All of the boxes I've seen have the grommets on the bottom and no access on the back. The boxes I've been seeing on Amazon, I'm worried that drilling holes in the back to get the power in and ethernet out to the devices would compromise the integrity of the box and open it up to water intrusion. Or is that actually the way you're supposed to do it if you don't use the preinstalled grommets on the bottom?

Open to suggestions and ideas for this project. Does anybody have suggestions on something better to try or a particular box to recommend? Or should I just go with it and caulk/silicone the bejesus out of it where it's sealed against the post? I really want to do this right and make it look good and be proud of and seen some nice examples on Google, but they're short on showing you how they did it.

I would not punch a hole in the back of the NEMA box, come up from underneath with a 1/2" or 3/4" "LB" condulet...much easier to maintain waterproof integerity. There are also "LL"'s and "LR"'s depending on how you want the cover oriented. The hole in the pole would also be under the box.

Use chase nipple (neater) or close nipples with lock rings to tighten condulet to box, you may want to thread the pole to fit the nipple.
