Password is wrong and GetEvents error?

I had a B54IR-Z12E that was already added to BI. It was working fine. I took it down but this morning decided to use it somewhere else. When trying to add it again, I am getting this message when running Find/Inspect.

I know the password is correct because it still had a profile in BI and when the camera was plugged in it came right up, but I was getting a GetEvents error so I decided to delete it and add it again to try and clear up the issue.

I am only seeing the information below on any camera that has the GetEvents error.

I am also seeing this with another one of my cameras that has been in use and not removed. Clearly the password and information is correct because I am seeing the video in BI.

That is an indication that the ONVIF password is "wrong"

BI will still see the video, but the ONVIF pulls of IVS triggers won't.

I am guessing the firmware corrupted.

Simply go to the account in the camera and go to ONVIF Manager and change the password, even making it the same will fix it.

Weird that it's showing this way on 9 of my cameras. I wonder if this is why I was struggling to get IVS captures with this Z12 when it was pointed at the path.

If it is just the get events error but the IVS is working, then turn off ONVIF authentication and that will stop the getevents error.

The problem is I can't even add the Z12 back in after removing it. It won't even show the main and sub streams in the drop downs.

I remembered I had a similar problem before, and went back through our DMs.

I previously ended up using "Default" and it fixed the issue. It's not a full blown Factory Default, but you do lose everything else other than your log in and IP, which does help a little with not needing to shuffle stuff around to get the IP and everything back to where you want it.

So, after doing that, it worked fine. I just needed to redo everything but the log in and IP. I'll get to the other cameras later, but I wonder what caused these to mess up.

Definitely strange it would happen to all the cameras. I could see one getting wonky on a power outage or unplugging to move it somewhere else, but all of them.

Have to wonder if it is BI related.

Are they all new GUI?

I have seen that it is best to factory reset those first thing as something seems to be off with many of them with BI if a reset wasn't done first. Not sure why, but I have seen that be a common theme here that fixed it for others as well.

Nope. Both GUIs. Absolutely nothing consistent other than they are attached to my house, haha. Installed at different times. Some -S3, some not.

Get Events errors have always been solved by turning off ONVIF Authentication in the camera GUI as @wittaj suggested. I now have it turned off on all my Dahua cameras.

But it's definitely odd you can't add the camera to BI now that it has been removed.

It will add and show the main stream, but that's it. I can't set main or sub.

I will need to look for the ONVIF authentication setting.
