Being in the or close to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, big cities speak volumes on their worldly deterioration...I don't rate Texas by it's big cities, they are infested with a mix of weirdos, Austin being the capital of Weird.
The heart of Texas is still strong, IMO. If we were to get invaded, the big cities would be bombed by the enemy, leaving all the small town gun-toten folk that would defend this state with their life, like when we became a state, Remember the Alamo...

Florida is no different as well as any other Red State, big cities attract all kinds...even California has alot of Red outside of their big cities...

Of course.

But when we left in 2002 Richardson and Plano (we lived in both) were the nice area of town along with Las Colinas and Grapevine was booming with new construction

* side note: I worked for the Land Dev arm of Las Colinas for years as Ben Carpenter built his 26,000 acre city. Southland Financial was the holding company and I still get a tiny pension check from it.

The entire failure of the United States is on the backs of our Congress. Both chambers, the Senate and our House has sold the American people, our jobs and our tax dollars out to foreign countries and they'll keep doing it because they know that you will keep reelecting them.

So whose fault is it?

It's our fault.

We HAVE to elect Republicans to save Trump from being impeached and removed in 2026 but we CAN'T reelect the existing Republicans who have screwed us over.

If your Republican incumbent doesn't have a Republican challenger, then you need to consider stepping up and running yourselves.

Every single one of them have to be replaced, yes, even the ones you like.

When the zombie apocalypse happens I don't think the skills of the rich and powerful (manipulation of people) will be very useful. Better to save those with useful skills.
