Allowing 500,000 chinese students and saying he's fine with them staying, in the same week he says Farmers and Hospitality need cheap labor so he's gonna rewrite some rules on illegals? How many other industries will ask for/demand and exemption? and now the language is just "criminal and violent" illegals.
If that isnt a flip flop while he's trying to stop riots all over the country I dont know what is
Right now I'm concerned more about getting the illegals out. Don't care what race they are. Get them out. If the Chinese students break the law then get them out immediately too.
My two cents: perhaps he’s taking the wind out of the liberals’ sails? I don’t believe an executive order can countermand a law that requires all employers to obtain relevant documentation to make sure the applicant is legal to be hired.

Agree. But he just said yesterday he’s looking to give farmers and hospitality workers a pass. And keeps saying about targeting the criminals. Actual deportations are so far dismal
I guarantee that once amnesty is given to farm and hospitality workers, more industries will make their case as well. This isn’t hard

And God knows how many clear criminal white collar cases of Federal Govt workers alone we’ve seen brought to light with ZERO prosecutions so far.
I was in the AG industry, and the part of the industry which I am in I can vouch with 1000000% certainty that there is not a single American born citizen that would do the jobs.
What I have noticed, the hardest and best workers were the ones straight from the boarder. Those were hard working folks. It was the generation that was born in the US who were the laziest.
The hardest working ones were the males who just crossed the boarder and were working to save up the money to get their wife and kids up here

I can fully confirm this. I was a young foreman for a Cable company in my early 20s. Had a digging crew of a little over a dozen (15 comes to mind) that I would drive the full van out to the jobs. Usually there was at least one that would speak broken English for the whole group.
I remember my first lunches, many did not eat or have a lunch which I would often go buy some burgers or tamales for them. Anyway, my first day with them, one by one they would come and try to give me money. I refused, then realized the prick Bosses before me was extorting money from them. I was young but very mad about that.
As I supervised I would often grab a shovel and help. Well one time I challenged one to see who could dig the fastest. Haha, this young guy dug twice as far and deep as I did.
I have total respect for their working ethics.
Had white and black guys work with me setting Guy Anchors for newly set pole lines, they were totally useless, complained the whole day, was only there for a pay check. I fired every one of them. Hard to fire someone twice your age on a construction site but it made me the man I am today. I understand, it is hard to take instruction from someone half your age but I was Always working with them, I did not sit in the truck watching...that is why they made me Foreman, well Crew Leader I think they called me, which quickly changed over time. Worked my way all the way up to Headend Tech. Miss those days...
Probably just me, but I'm not big into a parades that involves a lot of military vehicles. Reminds me too much of commie countries trying to "prove" they are big and bad by parading missiles on the back of trucks. We don't have anything to prove. Some cool jet flyovers would be a nice touch though. I'm sure the Old Guard will be there. Love to see that! Anyhow, Happy Birthday US Army!
