Hello, I have 4 IP Cameras on a DVR and one of them is displaying substream as main stream. What can I do?

What model is your DVR?

What model is the camera?

Are you viewing it directly on the DVR?

If truly a DVR (analog) and not an NVR (IP) the settings for the camera are typically on the individual OSD of the camera itself

Sorry I'm not familiar with HiK NVR's.

I would first login to the individual camera GUI and make sure the stream settings are correct
Most likely On the NVR there is a setting to view either Main or Substream for each camera, but again I apologize I dont know where that would be on an HIK NVR

1. dvr: DS-7104HQHI-K1
2. camera: Dahua IPC-HFW1431S1-0280B-S4
3. yes
4. at settings, the resolution is on the substream, and the main one is not showing.

because this is very very low-end DVR dedicated for 1080p (2Mpx) analog cams..
you have IP 4Mpx cams...

it doesn't have enough decoding capability to decode all cams in full stream to display them...
you need something better / higher line..

ps. you can try to decrease frame rate on all cams to 20 or 15fps...

it's the same shit as Dahua..
the same architecture, the same SOCs and firmware backbone from HiSilicon, same hardware/firmware limits, the same problems..

simply different names for everything and different UI/UX (menu positions).

the biggest difference is how you configure storage for saving events - HIK is using linear 24/7 storage + separate events, Dahua is using event system when 1 hour recordings are cut into smaller parts per each event..
