I am planning on getting the Dahua camera IPC-T5449H-ASE-D2. This has SMD 3.0 inbuilt. There also Dahua NVRs that have in built SMD in them. Is there any benefit of getting a NVR with SMD built in, if all other cameras connected to it have SMD built in? Will there be any synergies?

@wittaj How is the IPC-T5449H-ASE-D2? Does the IVS and SMD work well? Does the IR attract a lot of bugs? Do the bugs cause issues with the IVS and SMD? Do you have it linked up to BI or to a NVS?

I have the same issue although worse. I still need to install it outside quite high but for now I also get blurry, out of focus images >6m away

Couple of things I notice here Definitely would optimize the install location and go higher if you can I do see more of a splicing issue rather than out of focus on your pic below. Definitely needs re-calbrating. I would recommend this on a bench test and align a calibration image under good...

Try upping the bitrate - for testing, run it at its max and see if it improves.

IPC-T5449H-ASE-D2 this turret has been badly lack of Lens from dahua, i am trying best to get some before Dec. Also we make a list to dahua for this model's bug, we will have a new fw to test soon, when i get it I will ask @Wildcat_1 to make some testing.

Right now the high end 4K chips for IPC-Color4K-X and the new one IPC-T5842T-ZE has been badly lack of, i booked some Color4K-X from Sep, till now no cams ready. The IPC-T5449H-ASE-D2 badly lack of lens, lol.
