New Build.... LGA 1700 Cooling anyone??

Noctua has some LGA 1700 ready coolers available on Amazon such as this: https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NH-D15S-Cooler-LGA1700-mounting/dp/B09G6TRHQW?ref_=ast_sto_dp Do be mindful of the size to make sure it fits your case. I use Noctua coolers almost exclusively. They also offer free upgrade...

    Silent PC recommendation

...i didn't think it would be this quiet. very happy with it so far !! as a sidebar - in the event you decide to build your own from scratch, Noctua fans are known to be super quiet. Also, where applicable, get larger size fans and run them slower versus getting a smaller one that will run...

...Smart Switch with PoE+ and 4 10G uplinks. I bought them used on ebay for under $400 and they've been flawless. (I did replace the fans with Noctua since my network closet is in my office). I use one specifically for my Security VLAN. The Blue Iris computer is connected to one of the 10GbE...

...pretty good. You need to be careful with PSU choice though as it can impact the GPU options. Space is tight but they are tidy cases and with Noctua or similar fans are virtually silent. The easy answer is NZXT, great fan options, sensible price depending on country and supply, good quality...

Sounds like you have a nice CPU cooler and plenty of air moving around, I promote Noctua when I can, expensive but very good. PSU should be good, I'm Seasonic or BeQuiet biased normally but EVGA are excellent brand with similar warranty. Always recommend buying the best PSU possible, no point...

...then two 140mm on the CPU cooler, newer one has two 92mm intakes and one larger 140mm exhaust then single 120mm on the cooler, both running Noctua fans and coolers, both barely audible unless you are within 2-3 feet and even then it would depend upon hearing sensitivity :lmao: I've been...

...a couple of intakes and one exhaust, assume the PSU will make up the difference in most cases. I am a sucker for fans, normally throw my money Noctua's direction for both case and CPU coolers. Plenty of air flow keeps most components happier, my CPU's can get full load and they rarely budge...

Connected a Noctua NA-RC6 LNA to the fan on the P4 to make it a little quieter, can't hear it outside the case now and temps are holding steady. It will handle full load with no issue

...would be on a fan failure before chipset or similar. Gigabyte tend to be the quietest along with some MSi models, sadly none of the fans will be Noctua quality but those fans are £20-30 each. If my personal GPU was being pushed and fans weren't quiet I would be tempted to build a custom fan...

Likely no need for custom models if you are in a well lit area, only really for darker situations potentially. See how detection rates are with the default model. Replacement fans for GPU's not so easy to come by, sadly not like case fans where you can buy a quality brand like Noctua :thumb:

Dahua NVR Quiet Silent Fan Mod

All these damn NVR's have fairly noisy fans. I put Noctua's in 2 Nightowl DVR's just a stock replacement. That was all I needed. one machin eis in the garage, and the other is at work in a Rack with a Cisco POE switch so you can't hear the DVR now.

Suggested vent for closet - if your closet gets too hot

Already done changing the fan. :thumb::thumb: From a Bosch VIP X1600, I got a fan out of it and replaced the power supplies fan. It is a 12v fan, bloody noisy so using a small voltage regulator board I set it to 9v, it moves plenty of air still. Bearings are far better compared to the original...

Suggested vent for closet - if your closet gets too hot

The NVR fans can be replaced to lower the noise level drastically. Most choose this brand. Noctua. Then I'd vent away to the outdoors.

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

...during light use. Anything up to 100-120w possible under full load but I am hoping with 8-10 cameras it should cope pretty well. Current system has Noctua fans, CPU included, it runs quiet and cool. I will report back here and in the other Blue Iris Ai thread with my results from the GPU upgrade.

...that found another purpose so will look to switch over at some point and put it to work. Got another three cameras being added so will be up to 9 in total, 6x 2MP and 3x 4MP. Both machines run Noctua CPU coolers so the processor has the best possible bite at the cherry so to speak :thumb:
