    As far as I understood this: "SID" (explained already after hashtag), it's a kind of a session id you get from the device after attaching a service. "magic" is part of the the protocol, obviously not important what value it has - it just has to be included.

    From my experience with VTO's I know, they usually work with "SIP_INFO" only. So at least the SIP port of the VTO should be set to SIP INFO.

    I'm quite convinced that you cannot brick your dahua device with a wrong config. In rare cases it might be that it act's kinda crazy", but that can be fixed with a factory reset. I played a lot, a powercycle fixed all my troubles so far. Your code looks good at first sight, just give it a shot.

    No, this has nothing to do with http api. It is based on dahua internal protocol DHIP, unfortunately undocumented. If you don't know either php nor python, I'm afraid you have to find another way.

    If you have a look at the script, it uses port 5000 which is open on almost all VTO/VTH devices. Off course your wish is not yet fully implemented, but this script gives you at least a starting point. All you have to figure out is the "method" to subscribe (method.attach) you need for alarms...

    I'm sure there is a possibility. Check this Dahua VTO event manager script You might need g**gle translator, if you don't speak german. You can use this script for a VTH as well.

    Due the fact, there is a script available that allows reading and even modifying the internal config of dahua devices (Dahua-DHIP-JSON-Debug-Console) this issue seems to be obsolete now.

    1st of all, clear browser cache. Then change the device type in Local Settings->Basic. Then you should be able to add your own "phone" users. See also this manual.

    I'm working (playing) with Dahua devices for a long time. I never had a VTO32xx in my hands so far, but I'm convinced that all dahua VTO/VTH devices "work together". There is off course a difference when you use SIP and non-SIP firmware, but if you upgrade every device to a V4 SIP firmware...

    SIP2.0 FW's will obvioulsy be the way, dahua will follow in the future. So sooner or later you will have to get it if you want to run the devices with all features and without bugs. Dunno about VTO3221D, but VTO2000A runs very stable with latest V4.3 firmware.

    @gonzzo A buddy in italy reported very good experience with italian dauha support. For the missing multilanguage addon I would ask dahua support for your country (support.iberia@dahuatech.com). Pls. let us know, if you got the file.
