    BI 5 and the latest app from the app store. It does work in spite of the nag. Surely there's a way to tell it to update. EDIT - Well stupid me. It's telling me "For optimal performance update the app on your PC". When all else fails, read the instructions. :facepalm:

    Problem viewing clips

    Just added a 2TB spinner to the server and put NEW on it. Both the Alerts and Stored folders are empty so I assume I don't need to do anything further. I'm trying to keep this server as low power as possible but I guess that's not really a good idea.

    Yep, that fixed it. I moved everything back to the BI folder and removed the second SSD. The boot drive is an Intel DC S3700 400GB. It should last a good long while.

    Thanks. Just did a delete and regenerate. Hopefully that fixed it. I also moved the "New" folder to c:\Blue Iris\ New where I assume it belongs. All I'm really interest in is seeing the clips recorded when motion is detected. Don't really understand Alerts / New / Stored, etc.

    I had a 1TB HD that was being used to store "New" clips. I've replaced it with an SSD and pointed BI to it for storing the clips. Now it appears that motion detect is working and clips are being recorded but when I try to view the clips in UI3 I get a "server is unavailable" error. Nothing I do...

    Problem is I have no reason other than the bank to upgrade my phone. It's old as dirt, a Nexus 6, but it has phenomenal battery life. Even as old as it is I can get 4 days on a charge easy, probably longer than that, I've never run it dry. My friend who prompted this thread on the other hand...

    Thanks. The server is exposed to the Internet via port forwarding. Need to change this. I've been trying to figure Stunnel out but haven't had any luck. It all looks like giberish to me. Are there Blue Iris specific instructions out there anywhere?

    Under Status --> Connections --> Active Requests. Earlier this morning it was showing 18 active requests. I have 11 cameras. I've never seen more than 3 active requests previously. Just need to know if "Active Requests" includes both internal (LAN) and external (from the internet) requests...

    Updated to 5.5.0.15 and now UI3 doesn't work at all. Still troubleshooting. EDIT : Rolled it back a notch and now it's working again. Problem is with 5.5.0.15.
